Voodoo is one of Ford’s most distinctive production engines. The Shelby GT350’s 5.2-litre V8 uses a flat-plane crankshaft, producing an unusual exhaust signature.
Output was rated at 526 hp at 7,500 rpm and 429 lb-ft. Ford invested heavily in cylinder heads, valve gear and lubrication to sustain high engine speeds.
Although architecturally related to Coyote, the crankshaft and many bespoke components make Voodoo much more than a bored-out 5.0.
