THE HISTORY

Why this car became a legend

Reodor Felgen’s extraordinary race car from The Pinchcliffe Grand Prix (Flåklypa Grand Prix) has become a Norwegian cultural icon.

Il Tempo Gigante first appeared in Ivo Caprino’s 1975 animated film based on Kjell Aukrust’s fictional world. With exaggerated proportions and intricate mechanical details, it is an unforgettable fantasy race car. Later, drivable vehicles were built in tribute to the movie design, but these should not be confused with the original film model.
