History and development

Oldsmobile’s high-performance lineage is closely linked to the Cutlass 4-4-2. Originally an option package, the name developed into a full performance model associated with powerful V8 engines and sporting suspension.

W30 packages and Hurst/Olds collaborations created some of Oldsmobile’s most collectible muscle-era variants. Production histories and engine specifications vary significantly by model year.
